against the machine

don't you realize that anonymity is not to be confused with pseudonymity? and that "the internets" are not some melting pot where wikipedia-ing is the same as cybersex with strangers is the same as myspace is the same as jezebel.com.

i know i might be far too utopian about the internet (reminding me of the ugg&baseballcap-wearing kids who only check facebook and think people who use the internet more than that are just "geeks" and "don't have any friends" — oh, and fat, too? plus they couldn't stop talking about rushing out of college into those 40hrweek jobs! that class sucked). but i'm just irritated that this man is probably making a bajillion dollars asking rhetorical questions about isolation and "virtual selves" that have been answered far more scientifically, far more legitimately, by people who aren't in it for the popular vote, since the goddamn 1970s. lee siegel, this is all i know about you and i guess i'm just not impressed.

i love editing it, although to take away the post-count on that blog archive sidebar [i.e. 05 feb (1)] i had to edit some weird widget stuff and who knows if it's real or if it'll work in the long run or what! i do know, however, that with whatever code glitch i did, i can't make more than one post in a day. oof!

i love computers. my next goal is to make my ku website really badass; it's currently on its way. just you wait for when i find all those hours of free time to goof around on even the minutest of details!

yet another blog

HELLO.

i have a personal blog and i have a blog for school, but i might as well have another face to present to the world (and hopefully a place to document inspiration i run across, the original point of my now-personal blog). i probably won't keep it updated as much as i'd like but i'll just go ahead and leave you with something creepy that i absolutely love. if it's the only thing i ever post here, so be it.

this is a wake up call
